Going out makeup and a cute unrelated video

I am not big on makeup and am not an expert. I experiment a lot in the safety of my own home where it can be easily washed off. I do occasionally go on Youtube to get advice. My everyday makeup is more subtle for work (obviously). I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing to get some inspiration and hopefully, improve my technique!  Off topic but I found this really cute video on my Facebook news feed this morning.  I just had to share it with you all (see below). This is an ad from a home improvement brand Hornbach. While my dad would of certainly not painted his house black, he did plant dark purple flowers for me in his garden so I too could feel at home!
Best place for good light, my washroom!
I cannot get a good selfie without my son wanting to join in and make funny faces because that's how we roll in my house!

  1. Aw that selfie is cute! I do feel safer experimenting with new looks just at home, and sometimes when I try something new and outrageous it takes some courage to show my face if I'm not quite sure its right!

    1. Thank you! I know I am no expert and the last thing I want is to look like I fell into a makeup box :)

  2. I am the same: just trying new makeup-design-things in my bathroom and wonder if it is ever going to see outside... and great video XD

  3. I experiment at home too...and then my husband's like, "are we going somewhere?" and i'm like no, just practicing my makeup like a cheerleader.

  4. I WISH I would think to experiment more with makeup at home! Then you have time to take chances that you can't take when the pressure is on to get ready on time. :) I love that lip color on you - it looks like it was made for you!

Your son is adorable. He'll make a great blogger someday!

    1. Thank you. It is Revlon Matte lip balm. It no longer moisturizes but it lasts a few hours. I sometimes do your trick by mixing a black outline and it blends super well!

  5. Cute pix! ^^ When I experiment with make up at home, it turns out awesome. When I wanna do make up for an occasion, it's a disaster...:D I've learned one or two simple, basic looks and some blending techniques, but that's about it for me, I gave up on experimenting. ^^

I like the commercial; actually, it's totally stereotypical, but I still like it. ^^

  8. I love the photobomb from your little one- how darling is he? I experiment with makeup at home too, the problem is I tend to forget what I did or be unable to duplicate it when I need to GO somewhere. :D But yeah, it took a while of me trying to put makeup on at home and deciding if it looked ok or not before wearing it out of the house. I had the opposite problem of some women- my mom wouldn't leave the house without makeup, I was afraid to leave the house with it! :D

  9. Loose grains with oil-absorbing nutrients work best in establishing the cosmetics. To create the lip stick last longer, Makeup Tips implement a slim part of powdered on the mouth first before using the lip stick. Mark carefully the first part of lip stick then implement the second part of lip stick. Do this until the preferred color of lip stick is obtained.
